When the booking is in the process of being completed, the address bar displays "https:" meaning "protected http") and a small padlock at the bottom of the page certifies that you are in a secured page.

This certificate guarantees the identity of your website by highlighting:

-The link being used to consult the site
-The body that is certifying and delivering the certificate
-The validity date (a certificate renews itself on a yearly basis)

All this information is validated/signed by the certifying body whose signature is integrated into your navigator.

When you enter a secured website with a valid certificate (i.e the website you enter is the one it claims to be), Internet Explorer displays an icon in the status bar representing a closed padlock.

The SSL security server ensures the security of your payment by encrypting all essential information required to process your request (names, addresses, emails, bank account details) and during internet transfer renders it unviewable. All your personal and credit card details are fully encrypted and cannot be intercepted or decrypted.
